CLUBHOUSE
HD Television has come to the Clubhouse, thanks to the donation of an HD system from a generous homeowner. There is now a Time Warner HD box installed with a selection of 200 digital channels. Instructions are mounted on top of the television in the living room. The sports tier and HD Net have been added. This set up is also connected to a DVD playback unit.
LARGE SCREEN TV AVAILABLE
As a result of the above news, the existing large screen TV has been retired. If you know of a group or club that could use this TV please contact Richard Kidd at 858-9295 to arrange pick up. La Ventana will donate this system to a worthy cause.
CLUBHOUSE PAINTING
The two restrooms, parts of the interior hallway, and the west wall of the living room next to the pool table are being repainted this week. Damage that had occurred to the walls was also repaired.
Lending Library at the Clubhouse
The Lending Library at the Ranchers Clubhouse has expanded its offerings. Residents are encouraged to borrow a book or contribute books from their collection. The books are divided into four sections - fiction, non-fiction, travel, and foreign language. When returning or contributing books, please alphabetize them (by author's last name) in the appropriate section, or leave them unshelved to be placed in the appropriate section later.
MAYFEST in Driftwood
The Driftwood United Methodist Church is currently making plans for its (first ever) MayFest - a combination Festival and Worship Service. MayFest will be held on Saturday, May 3. If you would like to participate in MayFest as a vendor, please call 847-9338 for additional information and a registration form. If calling during business hours, please leave a message where you can be reached in the evening.
NEIGHBORHOOD DIRECTORY
We plan to send the directory to the printers by the end of January. If you have not filled out a directory form, please reply and we will forward a form to you. Also, if you have new neighbors you might pass the laventananews@hotmail.com email address to them, so they can contact us about receiving our news and being listed in the directory.
